Media Accreditation Opens for 2026 West Africa University Games

Accreditation for media personnel covering the 2026 West Africa University Games (WAUG) is now officially open with eight days to go. Journalists, photographers, videographers, content creators and other media professionals interested in covering the competition can now register to be part of the media team for the tournament.

The accreditation process is open to those who want to report on the action, capture the key moments and tell the stories of athletes and universities competing at the 2026 WAUG. The West Africa University Games brings together universities from across the region for competition across multiple sporting disciplines, providing a platform for student-athletes to compete and represent their institutions.

For media professionals, the event also provides an opportunity to document the performances, personalities and stories emerging from one of West Africa's major university sporting events. Interested media personnel are encouraged to complete the accreditation form to begin the registration process.
