Ghana Bounce Back with a 2–0 Win Over Benin in Adjohoun

The Black Princesses responded strongly in Adjohoun, securing a controlled 2–0 victory over Benin to stay firmly in contention at the WAFU B U20 Girls Cup. Midfield standout Sarah Nyarko opened the scoring with a sharp finish and delivered a commanding all-round performance that earned her the Woman of the Match honour. Latifa Musah later doubled the lead with a composed strike to seal the points.

Although Ghana suffered a setback earlier in the tournament against Nigeria, this result stabilises their campaign and keeps their qualification hopes on track. Nyarko dictated the game’s tempo throughout, while Musah’s goal gave the Black Princesses the cushion they needed to close out the match confidently.

With momentum restored, Ghana will aim to build on this victory as they prepare for what is expected to be a tough match against Nigeria.
