It’s a new dawn for Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s National Team as broadcast journalist and football commentator, Dorcas Koki, has been appointed the new Media Officer of the Flamingoes.
Dorcas has long been an active voice in Nigerian women’s football — from serving as a matchday commentator at the NWFL Super 6 in Ikenne, to hosting AlliNews Women’s Football Spaces, and voicing powerful scripts that tell the stories of women’s football for AlliNews. Her passion and consistency in amplifying the women’s game makes this appointment a major step forward for the Flamingoes’ media coverage and visibility.
Speaking on her vision, Dorcas said:
“I will work with the NFF Communication Department to amplify the voices of the players and coaches, to ensure the team’s journey is shared with stakeholders across the country and beyond. My vision is to make the Flamingoes a household name, not only during tournaments but all year round. We will tell their stories in ways that inspire pride, build fan connection, and position the team as the future of Nigerian football — by combining fresh digital content, stronger media engagement, and authentic storytelling.”

Her first assignment as Media Officer will be covering the Flamingoes’ campaign at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, from 17th October to 8th November 2025.
