"We will be ready" - Madugu hints Falcons almost set for Mission X campaign.

Justin Madugu Super Falcons Mission X

Ahead of the first group match of the 2024 Women's African Cup of Nations in Morrocco, Super Falcons coach Justin Madugu has claimed the ladies will be ready to charge for the 10th WAFCON title.

The Falcons breezed past Ghana 3-1, in a behind-closed-doors friendly in Casablanca, and Madugu believes it was an opportunity to build ahead of Sunday's clash against Tunisia.

"The match gave us the opportunity of having the full squad together to really assess our strength as a team, and build on team cohesion, coordination and on various combinations. He said

‎“It will always be work in progress, but we are very focused on our realisable and achievable target of Mission X. The girls are ready and are showing real hunger for victory and team spirit is high. We are looking forward to our first match on Sunday against Tunisia.”

‎“We will continue to work on our weak areas, and I believe that by the time of our first match, we will be ready,” Madugu concluded.

Recall that Justin Madugu was part of the coaching crew for the 2018 WAFCON winning team. Now he takes charge of a major tournament, as head coach.
