On the 28th day of June, 2025, Rivers Angels pulled a historic comeback to claim the Women's President's Federations Cup for the 10th time in their history, a feat no other club has accomplished.
In the midst of this success, there's one man who has always seemed to be the centre of attraction. Head coach, Tosan Blankson.
Either it's due to his humorous replies in press conferences or his reactions on the touchline, Coach Blankson is always a joy to watch.
Asides these humorous attributes, it is also perceived that coach Blankson is a man who loves making bold predictions and standing by them, highlighting a "talk and do" mentality.
On the eve of the final, in a press conference at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, Coach Tosan was asked on his side's chances of lifting the title, and he said;
"The Federation Cup is like a birthright to us, and I know and believe we will lift it again tomorrow. We’re taking the trophy back to Port Harcourt.”
He however did not stop there. Despite his side going down by two goals in the first half of the final, coach Tosan masterminded a comeback, and led Rivers Angels to the title, defeating Nasarawa Amazons on penalties.
