This week, Edo Queens were once again held to a draw, while Rivers Angels snatched a crucial away win. Elsewhere, Abia Angels delivered the standout performance of the round with a dominant victory over Confluence Queens and RSL stole the show with a top-of-the-table performance against their Owerri visitors. At the bottom, Confluence Queens and Heartland Queens are still searching for their first wins.

Here’s how the GW4 action unfolded across the eight fixtures:

Dannaz Ladies 1-1 Edo Queens

Edo Queens dropped points for the second game running, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Dannaz Ladies in Lagos. Goodness Osigwe fired the champions ahead in the 18th minute, but after a long passage of unfruitful pressure from Edo Queens, Goodness conceded a foul at the edge of the penalty area and Omotoke Ogunfuwa stepped up to deliver the dead ball for Dannaz. Omotoke's delivery should ideally have been a routine save, but the goalkeeper lost her footing and conceded the most bizarre of goals. Dannaz turned the tide and almost got a second but Edo managed to stay in it courtesy of some last-gasp defending. Despite the odds being originally against them, the hosts eventually got a share of the spoils, courtesy of some clinical approach and stroke of good fortune.

Robo Queens 2-2 Naija Ratels

A dramatic contest in Lagos saw Robo Queens and Naija Ratels play out a thrilling 2-2 draw. Opeyemi Ajakaye put the home side ahead early, but Jenat Ikpa and Tumininu Adeshina’s penalty turned the game around for Naija Ratels before halftime. Robo Queens, however, found a way back, with Rodiat Yusuf striking in the second half to secure a point.

Ibom Angels 2-1 Benue Queens

Ibom Angels finally recorded their first win of the season with a narrow 2-1 victory over Benue Queens. Wami Georgeline struck in the third minute, but Anastasia Emefo responded quickly for Benue. Kelechi Chukwunlem’s goal just before halftime proved to be the decider.

Nasarawa Amazons 2-0 Ekiti Queens

Two quickfire goals from Kesiena Ojiyovwi and Jenat Akekeromowei in the second half helped Nasarawa Amazons see off Ekiti Queens in Lafia. The victory propels the home side up the Group A standings and above Edo Queens. It also extends Ekiti Queens unwanted record in the league. They are winless on the road since they gained promotion to the top flight league, a run of seven games without a win.

Abia Angels 3-0 Confluence Queens

It was all about Mary Lucky in Umuahia as her second-half hat trick powered Abia Angels to a convincing 3-0 win over Confluence Queens. The visitors remain without a point this season. The pressure now mounts on Coach Sabo Okala who has to force a turnaround soon or risk finishing the first half of the season in the relegation zone.

Delta Queens 1-2 Rivers Angels

Rivers Angels pulled off a big away win in Asaba, coming from behind to defeat Delta Queens. Favour Dagogo had given the hosts the lead, but Patience Otubo equalized before halftime. Mary Moses then scored the matchwinner in the 49th minute. It's now four wins for Rivers Angels in their last ten meetings with Delta Queens, per reports, with five previous meetings ending in draws and the hosts with just one win.

Remo Stars Ladies 4-1 Heartland Queens

Remo Stars Ladies stepped up in style, crushing Heartland Queens 4-1 in Ikenne. Kafayat Bashiru opened the scoring, but their lead only lasted three minutes as Monica Matthew quickly leveled for Heartland. The hosts then took control in the second half, with Bolaji Olamide scoring twice and Deborah Kehinde adding another to complete a dominant display.

Bayelsa Queens 3-0 Adamawa Queens

Bayelsa Queens made it back-to-back wins with a commanding 3-0 triumph over Adamawa Queens. Goals from Vera Samuel, Cynthia Mega, and Rose Ekong ensured the Prosperity Girls stayed in the hunt for the top spot.
