NUGA 2025 Football Draw: New Champions to Emerge in Jos

The group stage draw for the 27th Nigerian University Games (NUGA 2025) football event has been released, with 16 universities set to compete in Jos.

Male's Football

Group A: Delta State University, UNN, Kaduna State University, Ekiti State University

Group B: LASU, UNICAL, University of Ibadan, Usmanu Danfodiyo University

Group C: UNIMAID, Niger Delta University, FUTA, Aliko Dangote University

Group D: FUT Minna, UNIJOS, FUAM, Taraba State University

Female’s Football

Group A: UNIJOS, Rivers State University (RUK), Federal University Lokoja

Group B: Federal University Kashere, Alex Ekwueme Federal University (FUNAI), Kaduna State University, Ambrose Alli University

Group C: Osun State University, Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University (JUSTUM), Federal University of Technology, University of Lagos (UNILAG)

Group D: Niger Delta University, University of Ibadan, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK)

University of Ilorin, who won men’s football gold in the last edition, have pulled out of this year’s tournament, leaving the title race wide open.

On the women’s side, defending champions UNILAG will return to defend their crown in Group C.

With OAU, UNIPORT, and Ilorin all missing, NUGA 2025 promises a new set of champions when the action kicks off in Jos.
