NWFL Nationwide 2025: Four Teams Secure Promotion to the NWFL Championship in Abuja

It was a memorable final day in Abuja as the #NWFLNationwide25 concluded with four teams earning promotion to the NWFL Championship. The games were filled with excitement, dominance, and history-making performances from teams that showed quality and determination. 

DreamStar Ladies FC are Back in the Championship

DreamStar Ladies FC have secured an immediate return to the NWFL Championship after a dominant and unbeaten run in the #NWFLNationwide25. The Lagos-based side completed a perfect campaign built on consistency and experience, sealing their return to the second tier of Nigerian women’s football.

Rangers Women FC — History on Debut

Rangers Women FC confirmed their promotion to the NWFL Championship after defeating Plateau Queens 1–0 in Abuja.
Onwe Oluebube scored the only goal in the 5th minute to hand the Enugu-based side their first-ever ticket to the Championship in their debut Nationwide campaign.

Solo Wonders FC — Record-Setting Performance

Solo Wonders FC sealed their first-ever promotion to the NWFL Championship in emphatic fashion, defeating Sporting Angels 8–0.

Scorers:

  • Jessica Obinna 11’, 16’, 20’

  • Chinenye Nzeribe 54’, 73’, 76’, 85’

  • Amarachi Ikechukwu 60’

The Akwa Ibom-based side finished their debut campaign with one of the most dominant wins of the season.

Rosaria Victrix FC — Maiden Promotion Secured

A goalless draw between Rosaria Victrix FC and Alexander Queens was enough to confirm Rosaria’s maiden promotion to the NWFL Championship. The team held firm to edge their rivals and celebrated a well-earned advancement to the next level.

C2E Sports Academy — Ending on a High

C2E Sports Academy ended their campaign with a positive result, defeating Osklean FC 2–0.

Scorers:

  • Perpetual Abaronye 24’

  • Nina Ude 37’

The Abia-based side earned their first win of the tournament and finished their run on a high note.

With the final round of matches in Abuja complete, four teams officially earned promotion to the NWFL Championship:

  • DreamStar Ladies FC

  • Rangers Women FC

  • Solo Wonders FC

  • Rosaria Victrix FC
