It was a completely dominant performance by Nigeria's U-20 Women's National Team, the Falconets, at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, as they cruised past the She-Amavubi of Rwanda with a four-goal-to-nil win in the second leg of their FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifying double-header.
The Falconets gained a slim [1-0] win over Rwanda away in Kigali, courtesy of a fine header from Alaba Olabiyi, before returning to Ibadan to complete the victory in the second leg.
The Nigerians started the game like a house on fire, as they constantly troubled the She-Amavubi backline with dangerous attacking transitions.
Just over ten minutes into the game, they took the lead. Bayelsa Queens striker Janet Akekoromowei drove forward and put in a well-weighted cut-back for Precious Oscar to fire home with a fine finish.
On the 20-minute mark, Fatimoh Tumininu lifted a brilliant free kick over the wall and into the back of the net, leaving Rwanda's goalkeeper Iramuzi Belise with no chance and doubling the advantage for the girls in green.
Provider of the first, Janet Akekoromowei, soon turned scorer as she powered a left-footed strike from the edge of the area to make it three and put the game beyond their Rwandan counterparts.

The Falconets were not done yet. Former captain of the Flamingoes, Taiwo Afolabi, added the fourth of the day to complete the hammering and seal the victory.
The [5-0] victory on aggregate ensured they are now through to the next round of the qualifiers after a performance that won the hearts of the voracious home support in Ibadan.
